Get an evaluation: This is caused by an increased mobility of c2 root which touches the hypoglossal nerve. Visit your doctor, get imaging in the area if needed. Disc Herniation: This is probably caused by a disc herniaaiton in the neck. When you tunr to the left the disc is pinching the nerve and causing your pain. Try ibuprofen/naproxen, heating pad or moist heat, try massage.
