Many Possibilities: Depending on how long it's been going on, i would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Second opinion yes: Nice idea to show us the xray very useful not a very bad curve in a 38 year old person i would definitely seek another opinion upper back pain can be very hard to treat but is not usually indicative of serious pathology and i would tend to doubt that the curve has much to do with it / seek out an orthopedic spine specalist perhaps best of luck with this problem. ...Read more

Get MRI Spine: This pain in the distribution as you suggested is the result of an irritated nerve or facet joints or other injury typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease, etc requiring further evaluation (MRI) by a spine specialist and may be candidate for facet injections/radiofrequency ablation and epidural steroid injection. ...Read more
