Need an exam: With those symptoms and the smoking history, I'd be most suspicious of a pulmonary problem like pneumonia, but there's a long list of possibilities, and you really should have someone examine you and listen to your lungs. Agree with above: Although you're young, given your h/o smoking and the constellation of symptoms you describe a chest ct may be warranted. I agree that a stress test will help as well. If major cardiac and pulmonary causes are ruled out, sometimes severe pain can present with fatigue and sob. Thus, if more life pressing causes are excluded, a more thorough workup of your back pain may help answer your questions. ...Read more
