High back pain has many etiologies, work related, posture, mattress that you sleep on, too strenous exercise, back strain etc etc. I would suggest possible something as simple as massage to loosen yourself up. My recommendation would be to tell your doctor right away . If you just started and exercise program your muscles can be sore and they can cause pain.
