Tyrosinemia type 1?: By rancid butter syndrome i think you mean tyrosinemia type 1. This occurs when an enzyme, called fumarylacetoacetase (fah), is either missing or not working properly and therefore tyrosine accumulate. It is treated using special medical formulas in place of other things in the diet that contain tyrosine. A medication known as ntbc is also used in some chronic cases. Are you sure?: How sure are you that he has takotsubo's cardiomyopathy? It usually does not give chest pain. Cardiomyopathies in general do not give chest pain as a primary symptom, usually sob is the main issue. Why takotsubo's does not occur in men as much is not known to the best of my understanding. Hm. Complicated: I'm not sure there is a specific "syndrome" but plenty of ppl, especially the eldery and younger active overhand throwing athletes, show damage to the rotator cuff. A portion of these people will be symptomatic from the damage. Acute ruptures in young people may be repaired surgically.
