Tokosubo syndrome why is it unusual for men and what is the likelyhood it will happen again because he is not getting better and what else could be causing pain?

Ramsay-Hunt : Ramsay-hunt syndrome is involvement of the facial nerve by the same virus that causes chicken pox. It produces the facial weakness by inflaming the nerve. It also affects hearing and can be accompanied by dizziness and change in appetite along with vomiting. If this is been present for three weeks you should be on the road to recovery. On rare occasions there may be some associated involvement of cerebellar function (balance and coordination function)and involvement of other cranial nerves. If you have not seen a neurologist you should seriously consider doing so. There are better treatments available for nausea and vomiting than flat coke. Recovery of the facial nerve can be monitored electronically and there are medications for the pain. Please see a neurologist. ...Read more

I'm sle patient with nephrotic syndrome , when i'm having my coffee now i smell it in my urine is that normal ?

Yep!: Odor molecules in coffee are absorbed into your bloodstream after you drink the coffee. These compounds travel to the kidneys where they are removed and passed into your urine. They still contain their coffee-odor properties which can be detected after you urinate. You may notice this with asparagus and other foods too. This is normal and not related to the sle or nephrotic syndrome. ...Read more

I have clear no smell fluid drainge from my left ear. also had eagle syndrome surgery on same side. could it be connected?

Possibly: In short, yes the drainage can be from the surgery if you had a styloidectomy. However, it depends on how long ago you had the surgery and how long after that you had the drainage. In any case you need to have that checked to make sure there is not an abscess formation or a draining post-operative cyst or some other abnormality associated with the ear ...Read more
