I think I have the stomach flu. Sunday I was vomiting all day was also dizzy and unsteady walking. I feel much better today, but still a little shaky.

You May be Right!: "I may be crazy...HEY! But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for..." If you had predominantly GI issues but if that's all improved, I would be willing to accept gastric virus as a probable cause. Drink TONS of fluid. Remember the rule....drink (in ounces) half the number of your weight (in pounds) on a daily basis. If sick...add 20% to that baseline. ...Read more

Feel swaying sensation and dizziness and 24/7 mild unsteadiness while walking more than 15 minutes or lying down or sittingfrom 8 years . Is it dangerous?

Feel swaying sensation and
dizziness and 24/7 mild
unsteadiness while walking
more than 15 minutes or lying
down or sittingfrom 8 years . Is it dangerous?

Is what dangerous?: There is no way to know whether "it" is dangerous without knowing what "it" is. The fact that you've had "it" from 8 years and are still alive suggests that "it" isn't dangerous in the sense of being fatal, but that is all that can be stated based on your post. The doctor who diagnoses "it" will be able to tell you if "it" is "dangerous." ...Read more

Either: Your symptoms can be caused either by an inner ear problem or a problem with the balance centers in your brain. You should be evaluated by a physician to help differentiate the two causes. Do diuretics take away your appetite and make you feel unsteady when you walk or stand up?

Do diuretics take away your appetite and make you feel unsteady when you walk or stand up?

They can do that: Among it smany side effects, dehydration is one of them. If dehydation is significant, you won't have an appetite, lower your blood pressure to cause orthostatic hypothension (low BP when erect) which can cause you to feel unsteady/fall etc.. Also, diuretic can waste away your salt and potassium which can cause arrythmias causing your symptoms. So, consult doc soon if you can. Good luck. ...Read more

How is a person supposed to act 3 days after getting a pacemaker? Male 87 years old weakness sleeps a lot no energy can't catch my breath after minimal walking across the room unsteady on feet no balance

How is a person supposed to act 3 days after getting a pacemaker? Male
87 years old
weakness
sleeps a lot
no energy
can't catch my breath after minimal walking across the room
unsteady on feet no balance

It : It depends in part on how you were before the pacemaker was placed. If all of these signs and symptoms are brand new since having the pacemaker placed then you need to be seen immediately. These are very concerning symptoms if they occurred after an invasive procedure. If these are not dramatically different than how you were before the pacemaker was placed and you were expecting rapid improvement with the implant, recognize that many of the programming changes that help "fit" the pacemaker to you will typically be made during your return visits in the first month after implantation. I would still recommend contacting your cardiologist and discussing your concerns with him/her. ...Read more
