Unisom Sleep Aid
I took one unisom sleeping aid tablet about 7pm and it is now 9pm & is still having a hard time falling asleep. Is there anything else OTC I can take?
Not much: Almost all OTC sleep aid bought are diphenhydramine, or Benadryl. This can be taken 25-50mg a night for sleep, but trying an additional sleep aid is likely adding more Benadryl, which can be unsafe. If insomnia is rare, then you shouldn't worry about it. Will taking unisom natural nights sleep aid(contains calcium, vitamin b, and melatonin) 4 hours after taking cipro (ciprofloxacin), (cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxacin) make the cipro (ciprofloxacin) less effective?
My doctor said to take unisom but im now 14 weeks and wondering how safe it is to continue the sleep aid? I cannot sleep without the sleep aid, I have horrible insomnia that leads to me not sleeping for days without the sleep aid.
Safe: Unison has either diphenhydramine or doxylamine as the active ingredient. Both at safe to take for extended periods of time without concern for dependence, tolerance or harm when taken as directed.
