58 year old female gets plenty of exercise and eats a clean, correct diet but is gaining so much upper body weight. Why?

Need fewer calories: Anything that uses energy (calories) will help one lose weight, as long as she does not eat or drink back more calories after the activity. Examples: if walking, take a longer route; use stairs instead of elevators; park a block from school and walk there with the kids; at home, skip dessert and go walk around the block instead. Get lot of chills throughout body from sensations like a massage. Can that release excessive growth hormone and cause adults (over 30) to grow taller?

GH release: Massage feels good, and the sensations, chills, are normal. I am not aware that massage can release GH. GH is circadian (higher in early AM), and goes down normally with age. Once you have finished growing and your bones fuse (about age 16-18), you will not grow any more, no matter how much GH. ...Read more

Add some stretching to keep it balanced. Watch fats/ sugars in diet and in all moderation. Beware alcohol. ...Read more
