Unexplained infertility, 32yo, first IVF works first time... Does my odd for second IVF to works first time is higher?
Yes: Having had a prior successful outcome puts you in a better position when you try again. Of course, success will be limited by the embryo quality as well as other general medical conditions. Good luck. ...Read more
In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. Which method is preferable for a healthy baby in the case of unexplained infertility? Ivf or icsi?

Others recommend icsi on only half of the eggs, which protects against the risk and also reveals whether icsi is needed in any future cycles. ...Read more
It is a choice?: 6 cycles of IUI on injectable medications costs around the same as one cycle of ivf. One takes 6+ months and ivf takes 6 weeks. Here is the "rub". 6 cycles of IUI is not as successful as 1 cycle of ivf. So it is a choice. Your surgeon would likely have seen them during hysteroscopy. It sounds like the pathologist is saying that polyps were found. Go over the report with your fertility doctor so that all of your concerns can be addressed. ...Read more

Would you be able to help me with infertility questions or could you recommend me to someone? I'm 26yrs old and just had a laparoscopy in November 2014. My husband and I are going for IVF at SAMMC but still have lots of questions
Many reasons: We believe the most common reason that infertility seems to be on the rise is a delay in having children. As more and more women choose the path of education and careers it is natural to see a delay in desire to bear children. Age is perhaps the most important factor in a woman's ability to get pregnant. Increase in obesity rates is probably another major factor. ...Read more
