Low Thyroid?: 37 F from England has fatigue and short tempered. Notes mother has low thyroid but patients own thyroid tests are normal. If your Dr. agrees that your thyroid tests are normal then you need to find other causes for your fatigue and short temp. Talk about it with your team. ...Read more

What does a normal TSH but low free T4 level mean? Can you have an underactive thyroid with a low T4 alone? Tsh 2.45 T4 7

Thyroid function: When TSH is normal and T4 is low this is called subclinical hypothyroidism. It is not treated unless if you have symptoms. Also if TSH > 10 some would start treatment. Hope that helps answer your question. ...Read more

2-3: I am going to assume you are taking 75 micrograms and not milligrams of thyroid medication as milligrams would be way too high. Most common thyroid medications are only in the form of t4, the inactive form of the hormone. Many people are unable to convert the T4 into the active form of the hormone - T3 (liothyronine) and need to also be on t3 (liothyronine). You should ask your doctor about adding T3 (liothyronine) to your regimen. ...Read more
