SSRI Weaning....: Coming off SSRI's after 9 years is difficult to do. As you come down on them, you will experience feels of "anxiety" and withdrawal, naturally. I don't know your current dosage, but assuming you are coming down from a high dose of citalopram, (they come in 80, 40, 20, 10 mg), you need to be under the supervision of a doctor while weaning down. She might be feeling bad b/c it lowered her estrogen abruptly, then stopped so her estrogen came back up. I could not find any link to thyroid concerns.
