Why does my scalp itch? I have this once spot behind my ear on my scalp, th!t really itches. I don't scratch it that hard though but I did see a bit of blood on my nail. I wash my hair 3x a week because im trying to grow out my hair because it was damaged

Few possibilities: This can be caused by several issues. Chemical and hair products can cause irritation of the scalp. You can also just have dry scalp, atopic dermatitis(eczema), allergic reaction, and sensitive skin. There are several shamppos that can help with this. Only in the case of: Alopecia. And usually a stimulating scalp massage INCREASES blood flow to the scalp, and does NOT cause hair loss. Every hair goes through 3 cycles. It might be that it is just a coincidence that you go around the "falling out" cycle. Maybe next time just ask for fewer nails and more fingertips with the wash! ...Read more

MTX should only be: Used subcutaneously! You avoid the stomach and liver seeing 100's of times more because of the first pass effect of oral. Liver toxicity is lessened, as are GI issues!

There is no role for oral, a more expensive and less effective form. There are a myriads of other drugs for psoriasis! ...Read more

Possible fungal infe: There are many causes of itchy scalp, esp dandruff and seborreic dermatitis. White stuff suggests dandruff or skin scales, but could be pus from small pimples or folliculitis. Black is less common, and may be dried blood from scratching or hair roots damaged by a fungal infection (ringworm, tinea capitus) and is associated with a patch of hair loss. Not much: It's just an antibacterial cleanser, so it may just be a little drying to your hair. Just wash it out with your normal shampoo and add a little conditioner and you should be fine. ...Read more
