Under My Tongue Is Swollen
At first, i had a fairly large lump under my tongue, on the left side. Now everything under my tongue is swollen. What could it be?

Under my tongue it's swollen and there's blood spots under it should I be worried, not to mention its site as well?
The gland under my tongue becomes swollen and filled with a white fluid. Then it feels as though something is blocking my swallow and it is painful?
Painful swelling: This sounds like an infection of a ranula, a cyst filled with saliva under your tongue. See an ent. They can determine the site of origin and remove the lesion. It might need to be drained and antibiotics prescribed before excision or marsupialization (unroofing) can be performed. Feel better! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Push fluids!: This was poor advice and is a reminder you can't trust everything you read online! What you are experiencing is what would be expected even with diluted bleach. If you can swallow, keep drinking water or milk. If you can't swallow or symptoms worsen, go to Emergency Room immediately. You may need a nasogastric tube and IV fluids. Obviously, don't try this again! Best wishes! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
