Post op issues: Best to go IMMEDIATELY to see your surgeon or Urgent Care center...Sounds like wound dehiscence who possible infection or abscess/hematoma formation. But over the internet impossible to tell. Read more

Start with one a day if this doesn't go away, increase it to twice a day. If this doesn't help go see your doctor. If you have a rash and poison ivy is a possibility, use Hydrocortisone cream. See a dermatologist: Unless you clearly saw and felt the spider, then took it for identification, you have something else. This does not describe a spider bite. Not even close. Also you may not actually have hives. Indicate a need for immediate attention when you call. Meanwhile continue hydrocortisone. Use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as a sleeping pill and nothing else.
