Vaginal opening always itches one day after sex, and goes off after about a week. No yeast infection or BV, what is the cause?

Vaginal opening always itches one day after sex, and goes off after about a week. No yeast infection or BV, what is the cause?

Simple irritation: Irritation from something chemical or physical. Simple stretching/trauma from the act of sex could be the cause, but that would tend to improve with repeated encounters so seems less likely. ...Read more

Vibrator hygiene: Vibrators should be cleansed after every use with mild soap and water, and if it is plastic and not latex a rubbing alcohol "wipe off". Some vibrators will accept a condom covering prior to use which minimizes pH changes. If the vibrator still has soap or oil based lubricants on it pH changes yielding yeast infections are common. Have your GYN MD examine the vaginal discharge for an infection. ...Read more

Goodnight if you had unprotected intercourse and one week later you contract an infection that itches , but no discharge could it be an yeast infection?

Yes, and maybe more-: See your doctor to have the appropriate tests done - though certain sexually transmitted infections(sti's) can present with discharge( eg. Gonorrhea, chlamydia), one can still "atypically" present with these two sti's. With unprotected sex, one must also consider other infections such as herpes ( hsv-2 especially), hiv, and syphilis depending on the discussion you will have with your doctor. ...Read more
