When my son was little, he took some antibiotic called unasyn (ampicillin and sulbactam). Is that a penicillin?

I went to a prof and he prescribed unasyn (ampicillin and sulbactam) 6 tablet single dosage for any type of bacteria including gonorrhea .Is it okay please help!
Unasyn (ampicillin and sulbactam) not for GC: Nope. Given that there is now a drug-resistant form of gonorrhea sweeping the western hemisphere unasyn (ampicillin and sulbactam) is not an appropriate treatment for gonorrhea, and i believe not for chlamydia either. I would get you to a doctor that is up to date on stds and such more appropriate to your choices and experience. ...Read more
3 days on IV antibiotics for abcessed tooth and on 1st day of taking Unasyn (ampicillin and sulbactam) (still for the tooth). Can I drink alcohol yet?
