Unable To Conceive After Miscarriage
Conception: Have you gotten your periods back? If so, do ovulation test and see if you ovulate. If you don't, don't get discouraged, sometimes it takes 6-12 months to get back into normal swing of things. Make sure to have sex at least 3 times/week and definitely around ovulation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My siblings suffer from autoimune related sickness. I have had 2 miscarriages and unable to conceive, should I get tested for autoimune?
Yes: Although your age with its increased risk of miscarriage (that has nothing to do with autoimmune disease) is the most likely source, it can't hurt to obtain a few blood tests that would rule out an immune cause for your repeated miscarriages. If you haven't already, please seek out an infertility specialist. For more info www.Askyourgynecologist.Org. ...Read more
My wife is pregnant and I am concerned about superfetation occurring where a new baby is conceived but then unable to attach to the uterus wall, resulting in miscarriage. I know it is highly unlikely but is this a reasonable concern? Thank you.
Very Very Rare: To say that Superfetation is rare is a gross understatement. There have been about 10 cases documented in all of the medical literature. Nearly all Ob/Gyns go through their entire careers without seeing a case. Being struck by lightning or winning the lottery is more common than superfetation. Its not something I would worry about! Too early to worry: Realistically, you have only had two cycles to try since your miscarriage, so it is way too early to conclude that you are unable to conceive. Your anxiety is understandable but may even be part of the problem. Consultation with a specialist (a reproductive endocrinologist) could help you with realistic expectations, provide practical immediate advice, and lay out a plan of action going forward. ...Read more

Hello, my gynec prescribed me cardiprin 100mg presently trying to conceive recently miscarried just forgot when to take it could you please guide ?
Shouldn't be: A single miscarriage wont affect or impair future fertility. It may take 4 to six weeks for your body to start cycling normally again, but you should not have trouble conceiving. Just remember that it is normal for conception to take up to a year (that's the definition of normal time to conceive) - so don't worry if it takes several months. Good luck! ...Read more

About a month: After a miscarriage you will have bleeding as your HCG hormone levels fall, and then you should wait a month or one normal cycle. There may be a higher chance of another miscarriage in the first month - the quality of scientific evidence is not great though. Two or more miscarriages is 'recurrent miscarriage', and you should see a reproductive endocrinology and infertility md to get checked out. ...Read more
