180' wrong!: The area which is darker is tanning. The area without as much color has lost it's pigament containing cells. This is called autoimmnune vitiligo. No: If such a screen really blocks all the ultraviolet then you wouldn't tan! tanning is a reaction of your skin to the damage that ultraviolet radiation causes. The cells of the skin put up little screens that try to shield the nucleus from further injury. Around 20 minutes of sun exposure a day can make your vitamin d ration. No: Long term exposure to uv light is unhealthy. However, we need some uv light from the sun to produce vitamin d. Vitamin d is important in regulating bone density and osteoporosis. Vitamin d deficiencies have been linked to tooth loss, and periodontal risk factors like low bone mass. Alport syndrome: is best diagnosed with urinalysis which shows proteinuria. You can have a normal ultrasound and still have Alport's. "Echogenicity" can be caused by many things such as kidney stones, chronic renal disease, and even normal structures such as blood vessels and normal fat.
