Ultrasound To Determine Babys Sex At What Time Of Pregnancy
Hw many times during pregnacy are u suppoe to go for an ultrasound to check the babies weight gain?
As needed: There is no specific recommendation for routine ultrasound exams during a normal pregnancy. However, most women are going to have at least one ultrasound at 18 to 21 weeks, the ideal time to evaluate for normal fetal structures. There will likely be additional sono's if there is a problem with the size of the uterus (abdominal measurements), gestational diabetes, elevated blood pressure, etc. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Safe when done right: My understanding of ultrasounds is that when they're done properly, they are safe. Ultrasounds are not like x-rays in which radiation is used. If an ultrasound probe is left in one spot for a very extended period of time, it could potentially raise the temp of the scanned tissue, but it is unclear if that has any ill effect. Recommend you pose this good ? To the radiologist before the next u/s. ...Read more
Can longer implantation time affect dating ultrasounds in early pregnancy? Can it affect growth estimates in early pregnancy and date you behind?
