Ultrasound Of Endometrium
Whenever my husband and i had sex, there's a blood coming out from me. I went to my ob and ultrasound. My endometrium bleeds. What is the cause?
An ultraound, also known as a sonogram, is a painless and relatively inexpensive imaging test that utilizes sound waves instead of ionizing radiation. There are no side effects. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more

Ultrasound showed thick endometrium and empty ovaries, does that mean I havent ovulated and havent conceived?
Not enough info: There is not enough info here to evaluate the sonogram findings. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. The endometrial thickness evaluation depends on where you are in the menstrual cycles. "Empty ovaries" is not a term that is normally used so I would ask your Obgyn to explain what is meant by that phrase. ...Read more

Last day of cycle ultrasound showed thick endometrium and clean ovaries, does that mean I ovulated if there was no follicular cyst? (I am healthy)
Proves nothing: unfortunately, you can't say for certain. The thickness of the lining of the uterus is due to the estrogen the ovaries are producing. If you had ovulated, the ovary should still show a remnant of that ovulation in the form of a corpus luteum. Perhaps is was there and missed by ultrasound? If you are trying for a pregnancy, use the ovulation predictor kits available at all pharmacies. ...Read more

Abdominal pain: If you are asking if your ultrasounds endometrial thickness is abnormal then the answer is no it is normal. One would not expect the endometrial thickness to be realted to pain though. If you are in pain then two weeks seems like a long time to wait. ...Read more
