Not that I know: I have not seen any research that shows a link between ultrasounds in pregnancy and autism. Ultrasound is a valuable tool to use in ob, (check dates, position of placenta, growth of baby), but sometimes it is overdone, because it is risk free, and parents like to see pictures, and drs. Not likely: Why monthly? If there is a problem needing close follow-up this makes sense. Ask your doctor why. But i know of no good evidence that ultrsound exams are any risk to the unborn infant. ...Read more
