Controversial: There are studies on both sides of this issue, with some researchers finding that tramadol did reduce withdrawal, while others finding that it either did very little, or in some cases actually made it worse. A problem is that doses of ultram in the therapeutic range (300-400 mg/day) can cause seizures. My patients have told me mostly that ultram did very little for them, but a few got + results. ...Read more
Been on methadone and percocet for over 15 years. Dr stopped all meds with a script of ultram. What happens?
Major withdrawal: You will go through major opiate withdrawal. The best option is to find a suboxone provider asap. Sounds like you broke your narcotic contract. If you break it with the suboxone prescriber the same could happen. Stay clean of all other drugs. Good luck'. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

If you are taking any antidepressants, check with your doctor before taking ultram together with these medications. ...Read more
Could prolonged use of vikodin Ultram skelaxin and aleeve cause profuse sweating my husband has chronic pain and arthritis and has been taking these meds for 3-5 years. He is having episodes of sweating even at rest- could this be a sign of other symptom

If the sweating is mostly at night, there is concern forunderlying infection. He needs to discuss with his doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

How long does Ultram last for pain? Vicodin is stronger but doesn't seem to work as well or last as long. Is Ultram safer
6-8 hours.: Half of the medicine is gone from your body in 6-8 hours. Medication is generally prescribed every 6 hours. Vicodin is stronger and half of the medication is gone in 3-5 hours. Historically tramadol has been considered safer. There is some controversy right now on it's safety, but it has been out for 15 years already. In general 325 or less acetaminophen on hydrocodone tabs are preferable. ...Read more
