I tested positive for ulcerative colitis on the ibd panel. Yet, my colonoscopy came back normal. What could this mean?

I suffer from ulcerative colitis and recently Ive read 1 article stating that havin IBD increases the risk of multiple sclerosis. True? I want to cry.
