Welt-Itchy: Sounds like a possible allergic reaction to something. Play detective and try to remember if there was anything you used lately that may have caused you to have an allergic reaction on the labia? Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can help with the itch and call your doc as you may need a steroid too. Prickly itchy rash shows raised bumps, when scratch swell into raised strips. Lasts few mins. Affects diff area of body/hair & diff time. No reason.
Dermatographism: If your rash is a flat one and scratching it causing raised strip, you have dermatographism meaning that your skin is oversensitive. If it is bothersome, taking an otc antihistamine such as zyrtec (cetirizine) will likely control it. Else it is not a major health issue. Possible allergy: It sounds like you have wedding ring dermatitis as you are possibly allergic to a metal component of your wedding ring. The other cause is soap that gets stuck under the ring band. If the rash is isolated to the area where the ring touches your skin then it is most likely an allergic reaction. Mgt suggestions: From your description, the area on the side of the neck may be an insect bite, and the total body rash part of an allergic reaction.Exam the neck area for any bite marks, stingers.
