Please dont do that: Inserting yogurt or any other food into the vagina is not an effective treatment for a vaginal infection such as yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Over the counter yeast creams are available to treat this very common problem. It will be more effective to use one such as Monistat or Clotrimazole. Can you insert probiotic supplements into the vagina to cure/prevent chronic yeast infections and if so is there a certain brand or type to use?

However, research is ongoing, looking at which species and strains of microorganisms might someday be able to re-colonize the vagina and prevent overgrowth by fungi (ie, Candida) or other microbes ("BV").
