Prior Exposure: I'm assuming you mean IgG antibody. IgG indicates prior exposure HSV I. HSV 1 is the herpes virus that causes certain types of cold sores on the mouth. Negative for HSV2: This is similar to a similar question answered just yesterday, linked below. Your result is negative for herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2), the usual cause of genital herpes.
