Should i take tylenol (acetaminophen) pm or simply sleep for allergies?

Should i take tylenol (acetaminophen) pm or simply sleep for allergies?

Sure: Tylenol (acetaminophen) pm contains tylenol (acetaminophen) which may not be needed to get to sleep or allergies but probably isn't harmful unless using other tylenol (acetaminophen) throughout the day. Diphenhydramine (main ingredient in many of the medications) makes people very sleep, particularly wen not used everyday so as far as overall allergy medication, as long as not having hangover in day can be quite effective. ...Read more

Can you take 75 mg diphenhydramine HCl (tylenol (acetaminophen) simply sleep) with .5 mg diazepam (valium)?

Can you take 75 mg diphenhydramine HCl (tylenol (acetaminophen) simply sleep) with .5 mg diazepam (valium)?

Probably: I think you mean 5 mg of diazepam, not .5. 75 mg of diphenydramine is a bit high. Tegether, they synergize for additional sedation. Alone, it is probably not enough to be a problem, but if combined with other sedating agents or alcohol, you would be taking a risk, possibly a serious one. ...Read more

Is tylenol (acetaminophen) pm safe nightly if can't sleep?

Yes but . . .: If you're not hurting, then you don't need tylenol (acetaminophen) component since excess Acetaminophen can be deadly to liver, especially if you drink a lot of alcohol. Pm portion of drug is generic Diphenhydramine (sold as benadryl) which is a sedating antihistamine. Just beware that studies show it sticks around in your system longer than you think. It can also cause dry eyes & mouth, constipation & can't pee. ...Read more

What are the negative consequences of taking tylenol (acetaminophen) pm to help me get to sleep at night?

What are the negative consequences of taking tylenol (acetaminophen) pm to help me get to sleep at night?

Not bad, but....: I always like to know why you can't get to sleep normally. The tylenol (acetaminophen) pm isn't particularly bad, but it is not good either. If there is a specific reason you need it for a short period of time like a change of schedule or something that you just need to get through, then go ahead, but don't plan on continuing indefinitely. ...Read more

Is there anything u can give a two year old to help him sleep? Is tylenol (acetaminophen) pm safe?

Is there anything u can give a two year old to help him sleep? Is tylenol (acetaminophen) pm safe?

Yes- not a sleep med: Tylenol (acetaminophen) PM is safe at the recommended dose for your child. However, it should be used if he or she is sick rather than as a sleep medication. Once in a while that is not a problem. But regular use in that way will not teach your child how to calm down and get to sleep without meds. That is not what it is for. I also suspect that regular use is not safe. ...Read more
