Tylenol Pm Extra Strength Medication
Tylenol overdose: It depends on when you had your last dosage, the current state of your liver, and the number of milligrams you took. 4 Grams within 24 hours is concerning. If you feel weak, nauseous, and have abdominal pain you should definitely get yourself evaluated as soon as possible. You should follow up with your physician regardless. Following directions as prescribed is crucial to preventing an overdose. ...Read more
I just took 1 500mg Tylenol PM and about an hour later I took 30mL of NyQuil. Am I at any serious health risk. It's the only time I've done so.
I drank a beer and a bit of fireball at about 10/10:30, and took 2 Tylenol pm at 12:30, am I going to have to go to the doctor?
Fireball whiskey: Drinks? Don't have any idea of how much liquor you drank? Are you feeling ill in any manner? If you drank one 12 ounce beer & 1 shot of whiskey- then took 2 tylenol than you will likely be fine. Did you drink massive amounts of alcohol? Perhaps you could resubmit with more info- there isn't enough here to be able to say. ...Read more

How long should you wait to drink alcohol after taking the recommended dose of extra strength tylenol (acetaminophen) pm?
Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Alcohol:
I may be going against the grain here, but please if you are drinking do not use any product with acetominophen or tylenol (acetaminophen).
I have seen too much liver damage from this over the counter medication, especially those with other diseases or who drink regularly.
Tylenol is toxic to the liver. And this toxicity can increase with ongoing use of both of these products: alcohol and tylenol (acetaminophen). ...Read more
Wisdom teeth extraction pain. Pain medication was too strong, so I couldn't take it. Been taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) extra strength, but not working so well. Help?
Unsure of question: But it is not recommended to take this much. While you most likely will be safe, you will be sedated and can even cause liver damage if you are susceptible. Make sure you do not do anything that you may be unsafe if sedated and follow recommended dosing from now on. Hope that helps! ...Read more
I took one Tylenol (acetaminophen) regular strength around 10am, the I took two advils at 5 pm, in the evening I had 2 glesses of wine, can I take more advil?
Took one regular strength Tylenol (acetaminophen) at 2:30 pm. I drank one glass of wine at 11:00pm. Is that going to damage my liver?
Unlikely: As you are astutely aware, mixing alcohol and Tylenol (acetaminophen) is never a good idea (Tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetaminophen) is the worst choice for hangovers). Liver toxicity of each is exponentially worse when mixed. If you are healthy (no baseline liver dysfunction), then I would not worry about these levels of ingestion. Stay vigilant! ...Read more
Read label...: If the formulation you are referring to has diphenhydramine in it, be careful about excess sedation when taking it with melatonin. If it only has acetaminophen in it, then do not exceed 3 grams in a 24-hour interval. Read the instructions to determine how much to take in a single dose. Good luck! ...Read more
I would try to avoid taking up to 3000mg of tylenol on a regular basis regardless of what source. While 3000mg/24 is an accepted dosing amount. The potential for cumulative toxicity is still significant especially if you take it regularly. Also, be very cautious if you have liver problems, consume alcohol or take other medications metabolized in the liver.
Hope that helps. ...Read more
Probably OK: Extra strength Tylenol (acetaminophen) are 500 mg, so 4 of them is 2000 mg. The usual safe recommended maximum daily dose is 3000 mg in 24 hours. If there is underlying liver or kidney disease or other medications that interact, even 2000-3000 mg can be too much. The other issue to consider is the need for Tylenol (acetaminophen). If there is a new pain that needs to be evaluated, see your doctor. ...Read more
Should be fine : That would be 300 mg Acetaminophen from the tylenol (acetaminophen) #3 and 500 mg (650 mg old) from the es tyl, for a total of 800 to 950 mg of tyl. As long as the tyl #3 was prescribed by your doctor and as long as you don't excess 3, 000 to 4, 000 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) per day, this should not cause any problems. Must have normal kidney/liver function and avoid alcohol and other liver toxins. ...Read more
