I have a cold / flu stuffed nose coughing mucus and fever headache. Can I take robitusin eith Tylenol cold at same time?
Better not: and which ones? Either Robitussin or tylenol cold have several preparations with different ingredients, stick to only one and read the labels carefully for dosing and timing. In general, ok to do: Adults' OTC medicines for colds are ok to use if one follows the labels' instructions, stays below maximum doses, and is not using more than one medicine of each type. Fever or pain reducers include acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Cough meds include Robitussin (some people use DM, some avoid it). Decongestants and antihistamines include Claritin-D, Zyrtec-D,... Avoid two meds with similar ingredients. ...Read more

I have: investigated the known adverse interactions for DEPAKOTE and the warnings for Tylenol cold medication and I find no direct "connections"..This has to be considered an adverse interaction since each individual may have a UNIQUE reaction to a mixture of medications...In any event u should start to feel better after a few hours...lie down..get up SLOWLY if you have to get u DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS.. Woke up w/ fever & intense ear pressure. Nose is congested. Been 24 hrs & the ear pressure is killing me. Valsalva's no help. Taking tylenol (acetaminophen). Relief?
Fever and congestion: These are signs of upper respiratory infection. You may also have sinusitis which needs to be treated, esp if you have fever. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may reduce the fever but would do nothing for the infection. It is important to treat the infection as early as possible to avoid any long term effects such as chronic sinusitis. ...Read more
Recently found out I likely have high histamine. I had a reaction to Advil&Aleve. Would Tylenol also cause a histamine reaction? My nose and throat became very blocked/congested. Took Benadryl which helped. But throat feels like golf balls In my thrt
Aspirin-intolerance?: I presume that you either have nasal congestion/asthma or an anaphylactic reaction to NSIDS in general. The reactions are not considered primarily a histamine-mediated one. Tylenol or Cox-2 inhibitors should be tolerated. If Benadryl helps your symptoms, you should consult an allergist to find out what can be done to make you feel better. ...Read more
Recent cold. Head feels congested and feel not right, like I'm not here. Dizzy at times. Occasional ear pain and occasional headache. Very tired ?

I'm having a dry cough, and runny nose and it feels like my chest is congested. Is this a common cold? Will OTC medicine work?
Common Cold: If your dry cough persists for a while (4-6 weeks) this could be secondary to inflammation in your upper airway or lungs subsequent to the common cold viruses or post nasal drip syndrome, in both these cases a short course of inhaled broncho dilators like albuterol might be useful (this is not OTC). Try steam inhalation, it provides symptomatic relief. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I've had a common cold for 3 weeks my mom is tight on money and can't take me to the doctor. I have a runny nose and a congested cough. Remedies?
How do you distinguish if sneezing is from allergies or from common cold? mainly sneezing, no cough, itchy throat and nose, sinus pressure, congested
Allergies: All of the symptoms you describe sound allergic. If you develop a cough with mucus, a sore throat, and/or a low grade fever - that would be more like a cold. The best way to distinguish would be to see an ENT physician - the appearance inside the nose of an allergic patient is very unique. ...Read more
