Tylenol After Drinking
Very little: It is not recommended to combine the two because both alcohol and tylenol (acetaminophen) are metabolized in the liver. Hepatic toxicity due to tylenol (acetaminophen) is very serious and can lead to problems as severe as liver failure requiring transplant or death. This is not common if taking the recommended dosage but the maximum dose is limited a lot briefly after drinking alcohol, depending on how much you drank. ...Read more
I took 500 mg tylenol (acetaminophen) after having one drink 9 hours ago. I dont drink at all and was my first drink. Was it safe to take tylenol (acetaminophen) after 9 hours?
Child,15monthold, fever of 103 for 3,5 days, brings down after Advil/Tylenol. Eats/drinks well. A little bit runny nose, slight cough. Can wait or doc?
You're asking wrong?: You are flirting with an acetaminophen overdose. The maximum amount of acetaminophen which should be taken at one time is 650 mg (they have taken the 500 mg tablets off the market), and you are taking over 3 times this amount. Alcohol increases the toxicity of tylenol. I suspect you are in trouble with both substances. Don't drink any alcohol for at least 24 hours if not longer. Get counseling. ...Read more

I was curious, what is the recommended time to wait to drink after 650 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen).
For ever: You are too young to drink. Alcohol is a poison that never did any body any good. Stay away from it. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
I use Tylenol (acetaminophen) a few days a week during summer for headaches and took 650mg today. Is it ok to drink tommorow?
Depends how much: If you only used 650 mg each day for 3-4 days & then another 650 mg today you are o.k. for a couple of alcoholic drinks. Better not to drink, it has it's own health problems. If you take Tylenol (acetaminophen) even at 650 mg you may get a medication HA and then need it everyday, so be careful. Have your HA checked by a doctor. ...Read more

No: Not if you took 2 plain or even extra-strength acetaminophen, and even if you got drunk. However, REGULAR use of tylenol, even in therapeutic doses (2 grams or less per day, 4 grams at MOST), together with REGULAR use of alcohol, can cause toxicity and damage the liver. If you take a VERY large amount of tylenol, alcohol can make that more toxic and likely to cause liver damage. ...Read more

How many hours after taking 2 tylenol (acetaminophen) do I have to wait before drinking one beer?
You don't have to: Tylenol (acetaminophen) does not cause any immediate dysfunction of your liver. Long term use of high doses can lead to liver damage, then you would have trouble with that beer. I just took 2 Tylenol for my tooth pain. Is it safe to drink a fair amount in a few hours? I rarely drink and I rarely take Tylenol either.
Not a good idea: Get to a dentist before your tooth becomes worse. The Tylenol won't help for long. Postpone heavy drinking till after the tooth is treated or removed. While you're at the dentist get x-rays and an exam so you don't go through this again with other teeth. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
