I've tongue twitches every days since 1.5 month. Normal neuro exam and clean EMG 1 month after the onset. I'm a 28 y-o man. Could it be bulbar ALS ?

Movement disorder: If you had tongue weakness with fasciculations, that might be worrisome, but your twitches are far more benign. These kinds of movements might be seen from medication, such as tardive dyskinesia, or even secondary to dental issues. ...Read more

No BUT....: By all means gear up for the August 2015 Ice Bucket Challenge that the ALS Foundation of America is going to hold again. But in your case tongue twitches with normal neurological exams and no abnormal EMG's cannot be ALS...not here...not in France...and not even on PLANET ALS....if such a planet existed. ...Read more

Twitch: If it is just of the tongue, this could be a dyskinesia, which is an abnormal movement. There is something called tongue thrusting, but this does not sound like what you are experiencing. Certain medications are more predisposed to causing this condition, and worthwhile discussing with your doctor further.
