Pink swollen eyelid, sore throat/cold. Dr said stye, but there is no bump at all! Just an overall swelling/pain. Incorrect diagnosis perhaps?
Probably right: Most styes start out with diffuse swelling of a part or sometimes the whole lid. As your body starts to deal with it, it becomes localized to the more typical focal redness and swelling. I hope you were told to apply heat 4-5 times per day which is in face the best treatment.
Hi, I lost voice after taking cough syrup but am also having slow sporadic eyelid twitches, are these related? Have tight chest and sore throat.
No: Cough syrup does NOT cause the loss of vocal function. The symptoms, except the sporadic eyelid twitches, are most likely the result of a viral infection. These types of infections respond to conservative treatment and your immune system. If the symptoms persist for more than 3 weeks, consult your primary doctor. I can not emphasize enough not to take an antibiotic for these symptoms.See 1 more doctor answer
Viral infection: The combination of sore throat and swelling with irritation in the eyes is highly suggestive of a viral infection (pharyngitis plus conjunctivitis) for which there is no known treatment that will cure it. Standard advice is to stay well hydrated (drink plenty of fluids), take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for the pain, and apply hot/wet compresses to your eyes. Then just add a tincture of time.
Sore throat, cold and now one swollen, slightly pink, painful eyelid. Hurts when I blink. Not pink on inside. Hoping its not alrgc reaction. Thoughts?
See a doctor: Although this is not likely to be something serious without seeing it there is no way in which to be sure. Since your vision is so precious there is no reason to risk further damage. Go and have a professional examine you. Good luck.
What are these symptoms of? Post nasal drip, sore throat, brown/green mucus with traces of blood, puffy eyelids, headache.
Several things: This is a problem that requires a face-to-face meeting with your doctor. In that meeting, your doctor will listen to you, perform a throrough examination and possibly order labs or other tests. Based on this information, he/she will be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.
Yesterday my eye hurt & I had a sore throat, a ringing in my Lt ear and a headache. Today I have a pus spot inside of my Lt eyelid. What could it be?
See a doctor: Without seeing your eye, I can't be sure, but it sounds like infectious conjunctivitis. the other possiblity, which would be more worrisome is a periorbital skin infection, possibly sinusitis and a middle ear infection. It makes sense to see a doctor at urgent care for an exam. Infections in and around the eye can be very serious, since the eye is so close to the brain. Anitbiotics probably needed
Probably: This problem can only be solved by seeing your doctor and being evaluated face-to-face. After a thorough examination, your doctor should be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

Congestion, very sore throat, and pink eye. Got drops for the pink eye on wednesday, its gone now but the sore throat is going on 2 weeks. Back to dr?
I was sick two weeks ago with a cold, had viral pink eye. Now still have sore throat and pink eye comes and goes. What is this and how do I get better?
Causative agents: A viral illness can affect your throat and your eyes. A trep infection can also cause similar symptoms.
Pink eye: Absolutely! Viruses can show up anywhere. Start with nose, then mouth, ears, eyes. No one pattern and no given time frame. Having said that, if the eye is red, tender, painful, crusty, has thick yellow or green discharge, or visual changes, you may have a secondary bacterial infection and get to your doctor ASAP. Don't delay eye symptoms.See 2 more doctor answers
Oral??: If you mean oral sex, and your question is are you being paranoid, then answer is no. Anyone should be concerned having any symptoms after unprotected. ..Oral. Having said that, chances of you contracting a disease is prob low, depending on your partner (if he (she?) has multiple partners, and is a drug addict, chances are higher). Bottom line: i'd get it checked out with your pcp.See 1 more doctor answer
Allergic reaction?: Good morning, a combination of itchy nose, swollen eye lids, and sore throat suggests an allergic reaction to inhalant allergens. Antihistamines such as Claritin (loratadine) reduce allergic reaction; eye drops such as visine help to relieve congestion of the inside of the eyes, and decongestants such as sudafed relieve the congestion; advil relieves the pain related to these.
