Time for a visit: I would take the kid to urgent care or the er now. With that history, the potential for certain parts of the intestines to stick to each other and possible bind or twist will remain a possibility. Not likely: A volvulus occurs because of redundancy (extra length) of colon. The fact that this excess was excised will likely prevent occurrence. However, you could be having symptoms from adhesions (scar tissue) that can accompany open surgery. Check with your surgeon. ...Read more
