20week TWIN pregnant Is it a good time to get "cervical cerclage" done to save my TWIN pregnancy? How safe it is and what is the success rate?
Need more info: There is no need to get a cerclage just because you have a twin pregnancy. It is recommended only if there's risk of preterm labor. There are, of course, risks to this procedure - including infection, bleeding, premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, etc. The success rate ranges from 80-90% if done electively (not emergency). You should discuss further with your OB. Best wishes. ...Read more

Feeding twins: Provided that you adequately support your own body with nutrition, hydration, rest and stress management, you may very well be likely to successfully nurse twins. I don't have any fertility issue. I wan to conceive twins. I hv heard abt Clomid (clomiphene) it helps in geting pregnant with twin. Bt I didn't find it here in pakistn?

I don't recommend using it if you are fertile and ovulating on your own. If you take it, you should be under the care of a doctor who is familiar with its use. Long term use of Clomid (clomiphene) can increase your risk of ovarian cancer. ...Read more

Hello.: Hello. There seems to be some variability to the statistics. With Clomid (clomiphene) there is reported to be a 5 to 12 percent chance of twins. With in vitro fertilization (ivf), the odds could increase to 20 to 40 percent, depending on the number of embryos used. However, before fooling around with mother nature, think about what will you will do if your become pregnant with triplets or quads. Take care. ...Read more
I am on clomiphene citrate, baby aspirin and folic acid. I have maternal fraternal twin uncles, I've been pregnant with twins bf. Will I have twins?
Hope my answer helps: Twins are 2 embryos implanting. The risk of miscarriage with one embryo implanting ia approximately 15% and with 2 embryos this risk is bound to double. In addition, some of the twin pregnancies are from cleavage of 1 embryo that is associated with errors such as unequal DNA material in the 2 embryos. This results in miscarriage in most instances as a protective mechanism. Good Luck! ...Read more
