In an inguinal hernia, does the intestine enter through the processus vaginalis or can the abdominal contents enter the inguinal canal via some other way?
Both: Indirect inguinal hernia is through where the processus vaginalis was or is. Direct inguinal hernias come directly through the muscular floor of the inguinal canal.
