Hard to address your: Unless you give us more details about what you mean "lobular tumor" such as its location, size, biopsy report etc, it is hard to know what it is. The only way to tell a tumor to be benign versus malignant is with a biopsy. So you need to share the biopsy results with us, then we can try to make some sense of this question. ...Read more

However, there is a limit of resolution, as with all testing, and some tumors (more common in pancreas than liver) are below the limit of detection with CT, but very problematic by way of making a hormone in an unregulated manner.
