Trying To Conceive With Low Tsh Level
What is the optimal tsh level when trying to conceive? I read it is between 1 and 2. My last test result was 3.63 but doc doesn't want to up my meds.
In normal range: Your TSH is in near the normal range and it would be prudent to follow your doctor's advice as s/he knows more about health history than is feasible in this forum. Need to look at T3 (liothyronine): And free t4. Low tsh, depending on the sensitivity of the assay, indicates thyroid hyper-function. However, the suspected hyperthyroidism needs to be confirmed with high levels of T3 (liothyronine) and free t4. Can taking too much Synthroid (thyroxine) plus cytomel, therefore having a very low TSH level, cause seizures?

I had a blood test. The TSH level was 3.18, free T4 18.6 and free T3 (liothyronine) 4.3.Is it safe to try to concieve or is it harmful to baby?
Maybe less med,,,: Your ranges are upper normal to slightly above normal. It would be a good idea to get your meds readjusted by your doctor first and then think of conceiving.
