Try to avoid your computer for an hour or two before bedtime, and limit any watching of the news to half an hour a day or less. You're OK.: Anxiety can make you imagine that the worst of the worst can, happen. Not true in reality. Your heart doesn't stop-- you would be dead. Your extreme anxiety is your real enemy. Problems: Did you taper off your medications or stop them cold turkey? Don't know which psychiatric medications you were on. But stopping some can lead to a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor discontinuation syndrome. The electric shocks can also occur w coming off of some ssri's.
