Difficulty swallowing, swollen glands/tonsils, sore throat changed to just painful swallowing (back roof of mouth) and uncomfortable feeling talking?
I am experiencing throat swelling, sore throat, swollen tonsils (quality: white or yellowish spots on tonsils) , difficulty swallowing. And difficulty breathing when sleeping. ?
Symptoms: Sore throat (and tonsil stones), swollen tonsils, ear pain, sneezing, and runny nose. Also trouble sleeping and general weakness. Ideas?
I wonder: are you using antihistamines for allergy symptoms? A side effect can be mouth dryness, which could worsen tonsil stones. These are mineralized deposits in the tonsillar crevices exacerbated by chronic nasal/throat inflammation. Warm salt water gargle may help. Pharyngitis: There are lots of causes of sore throat, from post nasal drip, to viral infections (even as bad as mono), to strep throat. Stay hydrated. If you don't have a fever, sit tight. What to do.: If you have significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see your medical provider ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Saltwater gargles are helpful.
