Swallowing difficulty of saliva, seems throat not closing after pushing saliva, nothing on endoscopes of throat and esophagus only too much mucus.
Sounds like you: Might benefit from a videofluoroscopic swallowing study. Your swallow issues may not have anything to do with an anatomic issue of your throat or esophagus but rather the muscular coordination involved with swallowing. ...Read more

Unlikely: A complete tear of the esophagus from normal food would be very unlikely, and you'd know it if it happened (think lots of blood and pain). Esophageal stasis is a condition where normal motility in the esophagus is decreased, leading to pain and difficulty swallowing. Block: For most of us, it's 99.99% mental. Unfortunately, i'm one of those people and it's irritating since I have to take a total of 7 pill daily at 3 different times of the day. Pain on swallowing: If you have allergies it maybe. drainage which can make your throat sore when you swallow with or without food. It can also feel swollen when you swallow.
