Ngu from oral sex 1yr. No discharge 1g azithromycin, 2wk doxy, 6wk cipro (ciprofloxacin). All swabs since neg but still feel symptoms. STDs neg inc MG & UU. What now?

Ngu from oral sex 1yr. No discharge 1g azithromycin, 2wk doxy, 6wk cipro (ciprofloxacin). All swabs since neg but still feel symptoms. STDs neg inc MG & UU. What now?

Probably not NGU: NGU doesn't do this. Without discharge, it is unlikely NGU is the problem. Non-response to those antibiotics plus your test results mean you have no infection at all but probably a non-infection problem. Perhaps the chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) (google it for more info). Happily CPPS is an issue of comfort, not harm. Find a genitourinary med expert, e.g. your local NHS GUM clinic. ...Read more

I am suffering from gluten allergy? Prevention n effects of wheat allergy?

I am suffering from gluten allergy? Prevention n effects of wheat allergy?

Celiac disease: I presume your doctor has diagnosed you with celiac disease. This occurs in people with certain genes and it is not technically an allergy, because the antibody made to gluten is IgA type, and allergy antibodies are ige type. The reaction is not preventable, but avoidance of gluten means the antibodies don't cause inflammation and the illness stops. So far, it's the best treatment. ...Read more

Blood tests negative, but gut acts positive for gluten intolerance?

Gut acts positive ??: There are a many conditions with overlapping symptoms effecting the gut. You don't list why the gut acts positive, which limits my answer. You can have intolerances to a variety of foods, artificial food dyes (red #40), and others, that will give symptoms but not trigger the immune tests for celiac disease. 64M,iga 161 (82-453) igg 669(751-1560 igm 29(43-279) no symptoms, do nothing, do you agree?

Agree: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your laboratory results per se are not a cause for concern and do not warrant any action. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
