I recently had a triple arthrodesis. I know I lost side to side motion. Are there certain activities that I'll no longer be able to do?

Yes.: You did not say which joint but is usually the ankle. You lose side to side and flexion/ extension. The joint is fixed and will not move. Will need to learn to walk again on that side. Whole new approach. Best wishes. ...Read more

Rough time...: You must have had some pretty bad injury to have to go through all that you did. Since I don't know all the details of the past 19 years, if you haven't yet, get another opinion with a physician that deals a lot with foot/ankle trauma. A fresh set of eyes may help. Non uniom: They could be many possibilities however the most common one is a non-union or psudoarthrosis at one of the three fused joints.Need to have either a ct scan or mri to determine if a non-union is present.See the dr who did your surgical procedure. ...Read more

Varies: It varies somewhat. You can get better after such a surgery for even 6-12 months. I would certainly let your surgeon know.
