Rough time...: You must have had some pretty bad injury to have to go through all that you did. Since I don't know all the details of the past 19 years, if you haven't yet, get another opinion with a physician that deals a lot with foot/ankle trauma. A fresh set of eyes may help. No: There could be some pain after coming out of immobilization. Depending on how long you are following surgery will depend on how much discomfort you have. The pain however should be less than before surgery. You should have a repeat x-ray and be checked. ...Read more

I recently had a triple arthrodesis. I know I lost side to side motion. Are there certain activities that I'll no longer be able to do?

Yes.: You did not say which joint but is usually the ankle. You lose side to side and flexion/ extension. The joint is fixed and will not move. Will need to learn to walk again on that side. Whole new approach. Best wishes. ...Read more

Non uniom: They could be many possibilities however the most common one is a non-union or psudoarthrosis at one of the three fused joints.Need to have either a ct scan or mri to determine if a non-union is present.See the dr who did your surgical procedure. ...Read more
