Skip Placebos: TriSprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) has 21 active pills followed by 7 placebo pills. If you want to skip one period, take the 21 active pills as always. Then on day 22, start a new pack of triSprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) and take it normally instead of taking the placebos. You might have some breakthrough bleeding at some point but it will likely be after your honeymoon is over. You are still protected from pregnancy. Best wishes!

Are you Pregnant?: I think the bigger question here with missed periods is if you are pregnant or not. If you have not done a pregnancy test then that is the next indicated thing. All answers will depend on that test and if you are pregnant or not.
Should I skip microgestin 1/20 inactive pills to skip period? Or do this a month before so that my period would fall on a different week when I take the inactive pills again?
Yes: Talk to your gynecologist about this. You can take two months of active birth control pills in a row. Resuming active pills should be a week later, not two. There are many ways to manipulate your period with birth control pills.

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding is common but not normal therefore there is no normal time for it to last. When you skip pills you trigger bleeding. The birth control pills will regulate eventually. Consider another birth control method if remembering to take your pill is hard. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy.
Brown discharge for 5 days now and still have 5 days before placebo pills. I need to skip period/placebo pills. Will the discharge stop in 5 days?
Possibly: You would get it to stop by doubling up for a couple days if you need to get rid of your period, but you pill may be too low and this may happen every month. It does not mean the pill won't be effective though.
I was supposed to be on sugar pills but wanted to skip period. Missed one day and a half. Took two pills will it be ok? Will I still get my period?
Hard to know: Some women can be a day or two late on the birth control pills and not bleed at all, others will have break through bleeding - usually in the form of spotting. Most women who skip the placebo pills and go right to more active pills don't get a period. There is a good chance you won't bleed at all or won't bleed much.
I take Aviane continuously for 3 packs to skip period. I always spot in pack 3. Is there anyway to decrease spotting so I can get through 3rd pack?
Aviane: I would take the fourth week in this cycle and let yourself have a period then go back to skipping that week and taking it continuously next pack. That should eliminate breakthrough spotting.
1st time using BC and I want to skip period:what will better prevent spotting: taking 1st pill on 1st day of period or waiting a few days after period
Day 1: Starting day 1 will give less chance of spotting. If you are trying to skip period, take your pack until pills change color, skips ones are the end and go directly to next pack.
Doc say Plan B can skip period completely. How can it do that when the effect is gone from bod within few days. I took it during period. It trick body?
Affects ovulation: To the degree that Plan B interferes with ovulation it may affect the period, which normally occurs 2 weeks after ovulation. Taken during your period its effect will be minimal. Practically speaking, I see minimal effects on periods from plan b.
I am taking trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) and I would like to skip my period this mom, what should I do?

Break thru bleeding: Is bleeding while taking the active or hormone pills instead of during the placebo week. It is common and not worrisome, and usually resolves after several months of taking the bcp. If not, then a change to a different brand of bcp maybe helpful to give more predictability to bleeding. If taken consistently, the contraceptive effect should be stable in spite of the break through bleeding.
Tried to skip period on birth control. It came anyway, and I've been bleeding for 9 days and it's still heavy. (Recently abroad, idk if relevant)?
Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.
