Best not use Q-tips: Hydrocortisone is a medication with adverse consequences if not used appropriately. Most people have ear itching from chronic q-tip use, effectively stripping the ear canal of lubricating properties of ear wax. I recommend olive oil or mineral oil to my patients and tell them to stop using q-tips. See your doctor or ENT for exam and recommendations. ...Read more

Hard to say: The most delicate skin on the buttocks would be the area around the anus. Hydrocortisone would need to be used carefully there. However, some causes of itching in that area would not respond to hydrocortisone. Pin worms for one, yeast or fungal infection for another, and a bacterial infection also wouldn't do well with hydrocortisone. ...Read more

Just moisturizers?: The itch after pregnancy and delivery is in all likelihood not due to an allergy, and are very likely the result of stretching of the skin and the nerves that follows pregnancy. Moisturizing creams such as cerave, which is available over-the-counter has helped non-specific itching. ...Read more

Contact allergy: This suggest that the area is still exposed to a contact allergen such as the metal in the watch band or bracelet. The only treatment is avoidance.
