What is the anti-dose of taking too many cetrizyne hydrochlride? My friend has tried to commit suicide. What should I do to keep her safe from danger?
Emergency evaluation: Someone who tried to commit suicide needs to be seen in an emergency room to be treated first for any damage caused by their attempt. Once medically stable they need psychiatric evaluation to review the crisis leading to the attempt, and whether inpatient treatment is needed. The person may be hospitalized for more reliable diagnosis, and a start at treating the underlying problem. ...Read more
Have mdd severe & bpd & have tried to commit suicide 11 times in 2yrs. No meds seem to work I've tried many. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Suicidality tx: I am assuming that you were referring to major depressive disorder with borderline personality disorder. Most of the time when I see these two combined in my practice there is an underlying anxiety disorder such as posttraumatic stress disorder. It is important that you be in therapy and have that addressed. Failure to do that can lead to ongoing difficulty such as you're having now. For people who have chronic thoughts of suicidality and any diagnosis in my practice i often prescribed Hydroxyzine 10 to 25 mg up to four times daily as tolerated. You can discuss that possibility with your psychiatrist. Other options include the use of lithium for its anti-suicidal properties as well as clozaril (clozapine). ...Read more

Have you told....: Have you told anybody that you tried to commit suicide 3 times? Does your doctor know how bad you are feeling and that you have auditory and visual hallucinations? Did you tell your counselor? They need to know! If they did, they would put you on something instead of or in addition to the Prozac (fluoxetine) which does not usually help hallucinations. Don't give up! Tell them what's wrong! Get them to hear you! ...Read more
Everytime that sept 4 is near, I get depressed and suicidal thoughts. 7 yrs ago I tried to commit suicide that day. Why do I keep feeling like this?
Our minds do this: Anniversaries and commemorations are very human. I can suggest that you honor this important milestone in another way — by feeling appreciation of a 2nd chance and self-esteem in what it's taken to keep going. But I know it would not reach the deep places you need to find without a longer time to explore together so much. I will urge that you find a trustworthy therapist to work through this with. ...Read more
