Trichomoniasis Over The Counter Treatment
My partner said she is diagnosed with trichomoniasis what can I buy over the counter at a drug store I don't have any insurance please help?
Local health departm: You can be treated at the local health department, typically for free. This is a sexually transmitted infection and as such both partners need treatment to prevent continued infection. Your local health department can also test for other STD'S which is highly recommended to protect you and your health. There is no over the counter treatment for STD'S in this country.
Suspect of trichomoniasis... My sex partner is getting treatment... I don't have symptoms, but I had them, didn't get treatment?
Trichomonas: You should be treated. Men often are colonized without symptoms, and without clearing this you are likely to reinfect your sexual partner and having it increases the risk of acquiring other STDs. Without treatment, the infection can last for months or even years. Go see somebody who knows about STDs. Good luck.
Here are some...: If effective as most of cases, it should exert its killing trichomonas in 24 hours, but the trich-related symptoms may take 3-7 days, varying among individuals to reflect the degree of local inflammation and systemic general health for healing. More> Ask doctor timely. Best wish...
I think I might have trichomoniasis from my ex girlfriend can I get treatment instead of going to see a doctor?
Unfortunately, no.: You can't have a treatment without having a sound diagnosis. Std have to be medically diagnosed and treated and the only way to do it, is to go and see a doctor. Please, accept to do so, not only for your health but also for other possible sexual partner (s) of yours. I am sure you agree that it is good for you and others to act responsibly. I have come in contact with a female with trichomoniasis she's on her 4th day of treatment meds and we had sex on her 4th day, can I still get it??
Urine test: A male who could potentially have contracted trichomoniasis from a female incompletely treated for trichomoniasis could have a urine test for trich done to see, if he may have contracted the infection.
Your partner-: Should be treated as well if you have tested positive for trichomoniasis. This increases your curative rates. Take care.See 1 more doctor answer
What is the treatment to get trichomoniasis out of bladder I have taken 2 500mg of metronidazole twice a day for a week as well as single dose week b4?
Here are some. ..: Trichomonas causes urethritis and I have never heard or read its causing bladder infection. If diagnosis is correct, the dose of Flagyl should be sufficient. Of course, be sure the sexual partner was simultaneously treated and followed. Of note, other STD-related infections such as chlamydial, mycoplasmal, needs to be considered and treated, at times, even empirically. Best wish. ..
Sexually transmitted: Also called trich, is sexually transmitted vaginal infection by single cell protozoan parasite called trichomonas vaginalis only women feel the symptoms most of the time, itching, burning in vagina, discomfort during intercourse, yellow green discharge sometimes, rarely pain in lower abdomen treatment with Flagyl and both partners need to be treated to prevent recurrences.
I recently took a 4 pill (flagyl) treatment for trichomonas. How long should I wait before having intercourse?
Waiting time?: Was your anticipated partner with whom you acquired the infection treated as well? Was the Flagyl dose 2000 mgs for a stat dose? Why not visit your gyn md's "waiting room" to be re-checked after treatment before "sharing bodily fluids" with anyone as trichomonas is transmitted sexually.
Is there anyway I could buy over-the-counter medicine to cure trichomonasis, also Is there any medecine I could take besides metronidazole pills?
No otc treament: Sorry, but there is no over the counter treatment for trichomonas in the United States. Both men and women can have trichomonas infections. Treatment is Flagyl (metronidazole) or tinidazole. There aren't many other choices and these are more toxic and less effective. Using condoms can prevent infection. See http://www. Ncbi. Nlm. Nih. I am having issues with trying to get riding trichomoniasis I've done 4 treatments and still haven't gotten rid of it please help?
Possibilities: There are several possible reasons for this: 1) perhaps you haven't been treated with the right antibiotic. Metronidazole 500mg twice a day for 7 days is the only antibiotic effective against trichomoniasis. 2) any and all sexual partners must also be treated, and then tested to make sure that they aren't re-infecting you with the trichomoniasis 3) wrong diagnosis: could be something else?
Can trichomoniasis cause bacterial vaginitis or keep it reacurring? I'm wondering if I have it. My BV won't go away after 2 unsuccessful treatments.
Keep working on it: Even without trich or anything else, BV often keeps returning; it can be difficult to cure once and for all. Keep working with your doctor about additional treatment options. Trichomonas doesn't cause BV to recur, but it's reasonable to be tested to be sure. Probably that was done, but maybe only by microscopy of discharge. Ask your doctor about the newer and much more accurate trich DNA test.See 1 more doctor answer
