Triamcinolone Cream Hemorrhoids
Take Triamcinolone cream for Hemorrhoids, and Doxycycline for UTI. Is it ok to smoke marijuana while taking these? Also Prozac (fluoxetine) and Valium.
Want to know can I use triamcinolone acetonide cream 0.1% to help with the itching and pain from my hemorrhoids.
Yes: Triamcinolone is stronger version of hydrocortisone which is steroid commonly used in over-the-counter hemorrhoid creams. But as Dr. Simpson said (https://goo.gl/8fvAPm), 1st make sure it's just a hemorrhoid and not something else. Also plan on eating more fiber, drinking more water & exercising regularly (all good advice anyway) to reduce constipation & need to push hard which aggravates 'rrhoids ...Read more
They can soothe: Steroid containing suppositories, creams and foam can relieve the pain and itching with hemorrhoids but do not treat the hemorrhoids themselves or their cause. Hemorrhoids are the result of too much pressure being generated in the anorectum, the result of lack of dietary fiber. In addition to the triamcinolone, try taking metamucil or an equivalent product. ...Read more

Can triamcinolone cream be used in place of desonide cream for rosacea? Can not get into the dr. For a week and my desonide cream is all. A friend also has rosacea and uses triamcinolone cream.
Not yet: This is a strong topical steroid cream which is currently only available by prescription (except in other countries). If you need a steroid cream, start with over the counter cortizone (hydrocortisone) cream and hopefully that will do the job (and is much cheaper). Otherwise you will need to get an rx from your medical doctor. ...Read more

Doc perscribed triamcinolone cream 0.1% for up to one Month. Contact dermatitis all over body. Is it safe to use that much for that long?
Possibly safe but...: If you need to cover the entire body with this cream, you may as well be put on oral prednisone. You should consult a dermatologist however to find out what is causing the problem since this may cause systemic effects , just like systemic cortisone, when used for long. Avoid using it on the face whenever possible. ...Read more
I have the following medicines:triamcinolone 0.1 % cream, clobetasol 0.05 % ointment, and tacrolimus 0.1 % ointment. Which can I apply to my nipples?
Depends: If the problem is an itchy rash , then a low-potency cortisone such as Hydrocortisone may be helpful. Triamciolone may also be tried as long as you don't use it for more than a week. Clobetasol is likely too strong. Tacrolimus can be used as maintenance - more to prevent recurrence than as a treatment. Consider seeing a dermatologist to find out what may be causing the problem. ...Read more
