I have never taken birthcontrol pills, my question is when should I take the first tri-sprintec tablet? And how long do I have to wait so it works

Sunday is the norm..: You can technically start anytime and your cycle will adjust to the medication. But most women find it easiest to start on a Sunday, the way the packs come labeled. You should take it the first Sunday after the start of your period. You should use a second form of birth control for 2 weeks. It may take several months before your cycle is regulated on the pill. ...Read more

My insurance/TRICARE doesn't kick in until SEP so my child will be almost 6MO by the time he gets his 4MO shots. Is that alright?

Should be : That should be fine although some entities are very solidly behind an arbitrary immunization schedule and that will put your little one behind on the schedule. Obviously if delayed the shots don't work until later so try to avoid exposing the little one to others that might be contagious with anything. Could pose increased risks with certain (especially foreign) travel. Try to stay on schedule ...Read more

I've been taking ortho tri lo for 7 mnths.Have been having terrible allergies around eye area only, for at least 3-4 weeks.Dry, itchy, red.Side effect?

Doubt: It is possibly a side effect from the medication. Sounds as if you have allergic reaction or plain old dry eyes (which could be a side effect of this medication). Try preservative free moisture tears four times a day. Look for creams, lotions, soaps, ECT that could be causing this. Eliminate one at a time each week, you may find a culprit. It may just be environmental. ...Read more
