Tretinoin Gel Uses
Here are some. ..: Pearly penile papillose (PPP) is considered "normal" variation of the appearance of glans penis and Fordyce's spots are the ectopic sebaceous glands - not related with hair follicles; both are harmless and require no Rx or active attention. Definitely, Tretinoin has no value for and should not be used for either one. Best wish. ..
Use once daily: It is probably best to use these two products separately. Differen gel can cause sun sensitivity, so using it at night and Clindamycin in the morning is probably the best bet.
Yes but drying: Yes it is ok to use either but you may find your skin to become extremely dry and should use a non-comedogenic moisturizer.
Peeling flaking and redness from retin a (tretinoin) gel. Is there something I can use after that won't clog pores and help results?
Doctor can recheck: If getting too much redness and peeling from facial retinoid use, such as Retin-A gel, one's doctor can help. Some patients try lengthening the Retin-A interval, for example, from twice a day to once a day, or from once a night to every-other-night. Some patients benefit from using over-the-counter hydrocortisone 1% cream twice a day for 3-5 days, while lengthening the Retin-A dosing interval.
Yes: No problem. Just may have some excessive drying/irritation. If this happens alternate days in which you use them
I am using tretinoin on my face. Can it be a cause for hairfall that I am experiencing. I use about a pea sized tretinoin gel daily before sleeping.
I use topical tretinoin gel with minoxidil for hair growth. But there are accounts on the net claiming it causes hairloss. Please explain the truth.
Not really.: A comparative study published in the american journal of dermatology in 2007 showed that: the efficacy and safety of combined 5% Minoxidil and 0.01% tretinoin once-daily therapy appear to be equivalent to those of conventional 5% Minoxidil twice-daily therapy for the treatment of androgenic alopecia. In other words, tretinoin does not appear to improve results of Minoxidil alone.
I have got pimples, scars and pores on my face. Can I use benzoil peroxide at night and tretinoin gel in day time? I have oily skin. Any side effect?
I'm breast feeding a 11 months baby, can I use retin a topical gel (tretinoin. 25 mg/g -30g) on my face acne. & how to use it and for how long?
I'm using tretinoin gel for like 3 months now I have not seen results I've been washing my face with a face wash and I've still haven't seen improvmen?
Acne: You have acne and are treating it with tretinoin gel for 3 mo w/o satisfaction. 80% of teenagers say they get good to excellent results after 2 mo of alternating tretinoin with benzoyl peroxide. There are different strengths of both Benz and tretinoin. Also if you infected lesions antibiotics may be necessary. The natural history of acne is that you'll have it for several years and it will resolve
Depends on skin type: These are all retin a containing products and the proper formulation for use depends on your skin type. For example if you have very oily skin, the gel works best. If you have dry or sensitive skin Renova (tretinoin) or retin a micro contain moisturizers and/or time release dispersion of the retin a to diminish adverse side effects of the traditional retin a preparations.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends: Specificity is really impossible. It depends upon the seriousness of the acne and your sensitivity to the medication. Obviously a good question for your doctor.
Tretinoin: Best to just google this and get answer in few seconds.
Is Tretinoin. 1% "Gel" same as Tretinoin. 1% "Cream"? Why is there so much difference in prices. Thanks.
Gel more potent: Prices are arbitrary, not based on actual cost of production, but determined but what the market will bear. Shop around. When a patient of mine in not covered by insurance for this I can sometimes find it for $25 for 100 Grams. Look for OTC ADAPALENE, generic for Differin, which will soon be sold OTC. It is better than tretinoin. Price not yet known but likely to be reasonable.
What is the difference between retin a micro 0.04% and tretinoin microsphere gel 0.04% (supatret 0.04)?
No major differences: Different manufacturers often give the same drug a different brand name, as in this case.See 2 more doctor answers
Excessive dryness: Applying an oil free hypoallergenic moisturizer after each cleansing with warm water and a gentle pH balanced cleanser can help prevent excessive dryness when using facial medications. Cetaphil and Ceravue are two examples.
